FaceSense respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, and safeguard data when you use the FaceSense mobile application and related services.
Facial Data & Biometric Information
What Facial Data We Collect
When you use the AI Face Analysis feature, FaceSense processes:
- Facial images (selfies) that you upload
- Skin-related facial geometry and texture data
- Skin condition indicators (e.g., acne, dark spots, texture)
- Scan metadata (timestamp, device type)
Important
FaceSense does not use facial data for identity verification, authentication, or face recognition. Facial data is processed only to analyze skin conditions and provide skincare insights.
Why We Process Facial Data
Facial data is processed solely to:
- Analyze skin type and visible skin concerns
- Generate personalized skincare insights and recommendations
- Improve the quality and accuracy of skin analysis results
Facial images are never used for advertising, user profiling, or identity tracking.
Facial Data Storage & Retention
Facial Images
- No long-term storage: Facial images are deleted automatically immediately after AI analysis is completed (typically within seconds).
- FaceSense does not provide an option to store, download, or manually delete facial images because images are not retained after processing.
Analysis Results (Non-Image Data)
- Skin analysis results (such as scores, summaries, and recommendations) may be stored for up to 2 years to support app functionality and user experience.
- These results do not include facial images.
- Analysis results are deleted when you delete your account.
After Account Deletion
- All stored analysis data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
Third Parties Involved in Facial Data Processing
AI Processing Provider (OpenAI)
- Facial images are securely transmitted to OpenAI for automated skin analysis.
- Images are used only to perform the requested analysis and are not used for model training or advertising.
- According to OpenAI’s API data usage policies, data submitted via the API may be retained temporarily (up to 30 days) for security and abuse monitoring before being deleted.

Cloud Infrastructure Providers
- FaceSense uses secure cloud infrastructure to operate the application and process requests.
- Cloud providers do not have access to view or use facial images.
We do NOT share facial data with:
- Advertising networks
- Data brokers
- Social media platforms
- Insurance companies
- Employers
Your Control & Choices
You can:
- Choose whether or not to use the AI Face Analysis feature
- Use the app without uploading facial images
- Delete your account and associated analysis data
- Request a copy of your personal data where legally required
Security Measures
We protect facial data using industry-standard safeguards, including:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS)
- Restricted access controls
- Automated processing with no human review of facial images
International Data Processing
Facial data may be processed in secure data centers located in supported regions (such as the United States or the European Union), depending on service availability. All processing complies with applicable data protection laws.
Children’s Privacy
FaceSense is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to This Policy
If our facial data practices change, we will update this policy and notify users where required.
