This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and delete data when you use the FaceSense mobile application and related services. --- ## Facial Data & Biometric Information ### What Facial Data We Collect When you use the **AI Face Analysis** feature, FaceSense processes: * Facial images (selfies) you upload * Skin-related facial geometry and texture data * Skin condition indicators (e.g., acne, dark spots, texture) * Scan metadata (timestamp, device type) **Important:** FaceSense does **not** use facial data for identity verification, authentication, or face recognition. Facial data is used **only** for skin analysis. --- ### Why We Process Facial Data Facial data is processed solely to: * Analyze skin type and skin concerns * Generate personalized skincare insights and recommendations * Allow users to track skin changes over time (optional) With your explicit consent, anonymized analysis data may be used to improve the accuracy and performance of our AI models. --- ### Facial Data Storage & Retention **Facial Images** * **Default behavior:** Facial images are deleted **immediately after analysis** (typically within seconds). * **Optional storage:** If you choose to save scan history, images are stored for **up to 2 years** or until you delete them. * You can delete saved images at any time from the app. **Analysis Results (Non-Image Data)** * Skin analysis results (text, scores, recommendations) are stored for **up to 2 years** to allow progress tracking. * These results are deleted when you delete your account. **After Account Deletion** * All facial images and analysis data are permanently deleted within **30 days**. --- ### Third Parties We Share Facial Data With **AI Processing Provider** * Facial images are securely transmitted to a third-party AI service for analysis. * Images are **not used for advertising or model training**. * Images are automatically deleted after processing and retained only temporarily for security monitoring (up to 30 days). **Cloud Infrastructure Providers** * If you opt to save scans, encrypted data may be stored on secure cloud servers. * Cloud providers cannot view or access image contents. **We do NOT share facial data with:** * Advertising networks * Data brokers * Social media platforms * Insurance companies * Employers --- ### Your Control Over Facial Data You can: * Use the app without saving facial images * Delete individual scans at any time * Disable facial analysis features * Delete your account and all associated data * Request a copy of your data (where legally required) --- ### Security Measures We protect facial data using industry-standard safeguards, including: * Encrypted transmission (HTTPS) * Encrypted storage for saved data * Restricted access controls * Automated processing with no human review --- ### International Data Processing Facial data may be processed in secure data centers located in supported regions (such as the United States or EU) depending on service availability. All transfers comply with applicable data protection laws. --- ### Children's Privacy FaceSense is not intended for children under 13.
